Secret Evil Lair: Key Locations

It’s easy to get lost when you own such a massive evil lair! Which corridor leads where, where do I need to go to find my rays, which traps are lurking behind the walls of that eerily long corridor?

Well, don’t fret! With this handy guide you’ll know where to go, what you’ll find there, and what to avoid in your bustling lair so that you’re not squished into a meat pancake… or burnt into acid… or socked with a boxing glove. Best to tread carefully, I think…

Entrance hall

Corridor colour: red

Important features: entrance traps, vehicle garage, main hall, storage hall

The entryway into the Evil Lair, the entrance hall is full of tricks and traps to prevent any unwanted guests, such as a disappearing bridge, blast doors and a hidden boxing glove in the wall… I’ll let you find that one on your own, though.

It leads to the vehicle garage where the various buggies and quad bikes around the facility can go in for repairs and a cleanup, the main hall, where you can find your way to all the other sections in the facility and the storage hall, where all your ill-gotten gains can be stored away for future use.

Business halls

Corridor colour: cyan

Important features: meeting room, vault, weather machine, prison cells

The beating heart of the facility, the business halls are where all the lair’s evil plans are schemed and discussed with shareholders and partners and other people who are one button press away from being shot into orbit or devoured by Sharky, the aptly named Shark.

The business halls also house the prison cells; where you can lock up any pesky resistance members that somehow make it through all your traps and minions, and the weather machine; a true work of genius that alters the weather for the whole world! Rain or sun, it’s your choice. Finally, the business halls contain a vault with all your precious treasures inside. A tempting little prize for any would-be robber!

Science labs

Corridor colour: lime green

Important features: minion spawning chambers, crafting labs, minion cafeteria

What’s an evil lair without a mad scientist’s workshop full of mad inventions and crazy gadgets?

The science labs contain everything you need to rule the world, and your lair, with an iron fist! Crafting labs to create new traps and rays, spawn pods to summon new minions into your army, and brewing stations to create potions and magical arrows to rain down upon your enemy!

It also has a delightful staff cafeteria where your minions can take their breaks and eat some well-deserved cake.

Air hanger

Corridor colour: purple

Important features: plane storage

Villains don’t use airports, they have super dangerous holes in the side of their base out of which they can fly their super stylish planes and only just miss the cliff edge!

The hanger is also where shipments are processed and directed throughout the facility, so if something gets lost, it should be the first place you look.

Docks

Corridor colour: dark blue

Important features: hovercraft storage, mine access

Land, sea and sky, you own it all so why not travel it in style? The docks house your luxury hovercraft which you can use to brag to those boring villagers, having to walk about on their feet, like peasants, but it’s also a harbour where goods are shipped in and out for the glory and wealth of your empire!

The mine entrances are also down there if you feel like getting your hands dirty a little.

Utility Quadrant

Corridor colour: orange

Important features: chicken factory, mob farm, stargate, boom box, reactor

When you’re a supervillain you don’t have time to do all the boring stuff like find food or mine for resources… you’ve got plotting to do! And the utility quadrant has you covered. Harnessing the forces of darkness, the mob and chicken farms remove the grind from the basic necessities of living, while the Boom Box allows you to practice with your weapons, blow up enemies or TNT farm trees with your Tree Ray to protect your hands, meaning you’ll never have to punch a tree again.

The lair has even brought dimension-hopping to heel, with a specialised Star Gate granting you quick and easy access to the Nether without all of that pesky obsidian mining. Just be careful while you’re down there, the reactor can be a bit sensitive. It would be a shame if someone were to get stuck in there when it’s unstable…

Domestic Sector

Corridor colour: light blue

Important features: bedroom, jacuzzi, farm

Even the owner of an evil lair needs a little place to call their own. A place away from all the evil plotting and noisy machinery, where they can relax and enjoy the comforts that come with complete world domination!

With a jacuzzi, several luxury suites, BBQ and a small personal farm, you’ll find your home away from home in the domestic sector where you can unwind and recharge, ready for the next batch of evil schemes.

Village

Corridor colour: N/A

Important features: citizens, resistance headquarters

Sick of the increased milk taxes to feed the minion’s desire for cake, the village is the foothold for the resistance movement against the evil lair. Resistance members spawn in a hidden basement in the village, full of useful items they’ll need to storm the lair and overthrow its leader!

Just beware of the treacherous path up to the lair. It’s not just the inside of that place that’s trapped.
