MCC: Purple Pandas prevail!

Hi Noxcrew community!

It's really getting warm here in the UK, I hope you’re all (safely) enjoying the sunshine!

In major news, Codename: Cow has finally been shipped!!

You heard that right, after almost a year of on/off development, Codename: Cow has finally been sent off to Microsoft for testing! We’re hoping that, like its’ siblings before it, they don’t take too long looking over it so we can keep up our stream of releases!

Not just because we love releasing things for you guys to enjoy but so you can all see the amazing trailer that we’ve been working on with the fabulous StormVII (no shade at Nox but it might just be one of the best Noxcrew trailers of all time). So excited for you all to see it, I think it's going to blow a few minds!

Now that we’re done with Codename: Cow, it's all hands on deck for Nice Zoomy Kittens!

We had a big old meeting about everything we’d discussed during our experimental week, and while we all agreed that we could have done a better job at communicating with each other (it’s hard sometimes ok, even for a team who’ve been together for so long) it seems like it’s all finally come together so it's full steam ahead! Lots of things are getting finalised and the build team are charging ahead with getting the world built up. So exciting to get to the meat of this project and can’t wait to see how it develops! As always I’ll keep you guys up to date and in the know (save for spoilers of course).

Scribbles’ secret project was revealed to be the fabulous GamerTeens skin pack which dropped on the store this week! While we don’t usually work on those sorts of projects, it’s nice to drop a skin pack every now and again to highlight the talents of our wonderful art team beyond creating sick chairs and coffee machines (I am still obsessed with the MM2 animations you guys, you have no idea).

Terra Swoop Force turned 4 yesterday which took us all a little by surprise! I’m sure it's no exaggeration when I say we consider TSF to be like a child (I mean it took roughly 9 months to make so it's a pretty apt metaphor) and to realise that our baby is now a toddler and still beloved by the Minecraft community is overwhelming! It was a huge launching pad for us, as well as a real labour of love, and it’ll always be very near and dear to our hearts.

To celebrate a few of us got together to stream TSF together and see how far we’ve come from those halican days to now. (4 years on I’m still terrible at TSF) It was surprisingly emotional to go back to it after so long, to reminisce about the old days, reveal a few behind the scenes titbits and open the server up to play along with you guys (I’m told some of you found yourselves in The End)!

Thank you all for celebrating with us, I hope you enjoyed our random ramblings!

Finally, MCC 4 kicked off on Saturday and I don’t think it's boasting to say it was a massive success! I don’t need to tell you, but after a surprisingly close battle for second place, Purple Pandas steamrolled the Green Guardian in the finals to become our 4th MC Champions!

Thanks to everyone who watched along and took part in the audience takeover (even if it was totally rigged by Techno). We’re just so happy that it worked and that both you guys and the YouTubers enjoyed it.

We’re already back at work getting ready for the next one, which we can announce will be taking place on Saturday May 16th 8pm!

As usual, the teams will be announced closer to the date, so keep an eye on the MCC Twitter page for the announcements!

And that's your lot!

I know it’s all over the shop recently, but we want to thank all of you for your support in this crazy time.

We’re so thankful that, in these turbulent times, we’re still able to keep doing what we do and that, be it with a silly little map or a weird little stream, we have the chance to help take your minds off the madness and entertain you, even if it’s just for a little while.

Stay safe and I’ll see you all next week!
