Blog and website updates

Hi Noxcrew community!

Another week staring longingly at the world beyond our windows. At least it's not baking hot anymore.

If you’re a frequent user of the Noxcrew website, you might notice that there have been a few changes to the site this week, namely the removal of the comments in our Minecraft Maps section. For a while, we’ve found that the comment section hasn’t really functioned like we wanted it to. It was stuck in a strange limbo between a support section and a forum and, without a clear purpose, was just chaos (honestly it’d get so crazy sometimes I’d end up missing people’s questions)!

So, to make things easier for you, the Noxcrew Community, to get in contact with us and ask any questions, queries or random nonsense you want to know, we’ve removed the comment sections and replaced it with directions to either our Discord (to hang out, chat and talk nonsense with the community) or our contact page (to give us feedback on our projects or let us know about any issues) We’ve also added an FAQ section to each creation page to try and get your problems solved as quickly as possible, so you can get back to playing!

Another change that’s going down is with these blog posts, which are stepping away from a weekly format into something more project based!

For a while now I’ve been relaying the same old stuff about upcoming projects, what certain teams are working on, what aspects are being polished etc. but with a weekly format I can’t really go in depth with what’s going on with projects or how things are changing in any meaningful way.

By scrapping the weekly format covering the broad strokes of our work and moving to a more project based blog, I’ll be able to discuss the progress of certain projects in greater depth whenever something new or exciting is kicking off! That means that when I’m chatting to you guys, it's about something really interesting or important (and not just in a “hey, isn’t this thing neat” kind of way)!

I know it’s a lot of big changes all at once and no doubt there will be some kinks to work out, but I’m excited to be able to get cool and interesting information about our project and nonsense to you guys faster and more efficiently (also we’ll get to hang out more of the Discord which is nice)!

Stay safe and I’ll see you all next time!
