Ninjas of Zombie City: achievement guide
Zombie City wasn’t always infested with the undead. Once upon a time, it was just a normal city with a pretty cool name. But that all changed when the zombie horde came to claim its namesake! Now, as part of a special clan of ninja runners, it’s up to you to rescue survivors, defeat monstrosities and do your part in restoring Zombie City to its former living glory!
But we know you’re not just doing this out of the goodness of your heart. We’re gamers too, we know you’re doing it for those sweet achievements as well! But Sensei’s made them so cryptic, how are you supposed to know what to do to unlock them?
Well, fear not! With this handy guide, you too can unlock the secrets of Sensei’s achievements and become the ultimate ninja hero!
Monster Slayer: kill one of every boss-type
There are thousands of zombies now residing in Zombie City. Hundreds of thousands, even. But amongst the mindless horde, there stand the Monstrosities; four types of creatures whose strength and power are to be feared by all who try to face them: the Bugbear, the Death Mask, the Splitter, and the Candy Man.
But you’re a ninja master, and no evil stands a chance against your blade! Kill one of each to earn the Monster Slayer achievement.
Ninja Hero: defeat each of the final bosses
Just when you thought the Monstrosities were bad enough, they each unleash their most deadly warrior.
The lord of their race: the final boss.
Let us hope your blade is sharp enough to combat these four masters of undead evil. Defeat one of each to beat the game and earn this achievement!
Eagle Eye: find a ninja lookout point
Zombie City has been under siege for a very long time and many ninjas have come and gone, vanishing into the mists of time and memory. Were they slain by the ravenous undead? Or did they move on from this place, seeking the truth behind the outbreak or even a cure for the poor souls now afflicted with this curse?
All we know is that someone left behind lookout points all over the city, full of supplies for you to use. Find one to earn this achievement!
Shopping Spree: unlock all stores
Collecting resources is all very well and good, but what can you actually do with them? You’re a ninja, not a blacksmith! You need someone to turn the raw materials scattered across Zombie City into weapons to fight the horde with.
Lucky for you, Trader’s Alley is just waiting to spring back to life, if you can get them the right supplies. Unlock all of the stores to earn this achievement.
Ultimate Ninja: complete ten consecutive missions
Sometimes it’s not about staying safe, hiding away behind your wall, hoping that the danger just goes away. Sometimes it’s about pushing yourself past your limits, going above and beyond the call of duty for the good of the mission!
‘Cause you’re strong enough to take on one more mission, no matter what Sensei says! Complete ten missions on Ninja Mode without returning to base to earn this achievement.
Shady Space: talk to Shady Jim
Shady Jim is kind of shady, there’s no getting around that. Who knows where he gets all those resources, or what he’s doing with all those zombie coins. But needs must when the Devil drives, and you can’t afford to be picky with who you associate with during a zombie apocalypse.
Besides, he might be a nice guy once you get to know him. Find him over in Trader’s Alley for this achievement.
Zombie Buster: kill 1,000 zombies
It’s sad to think that these shambling ghouls were once innocent citizens, going about their lives, heedless of the horrors the future would bring to bear on their ill-named and ill-fated city.
But there’s no time to dwell on that now. Without a cure to save them from this fate, these zombies are a danger to everything you’ve worked so hard to rebuild. It’s kill or be killed now. Take comfort that you’re finally putting these poor souls to rest. 1,000 zombie kills will earn you this achievement.
Baby's First Steps: die once in Ninja Mode
Look we get it, it’s not easy being a ninja. You need focus, determination, and an awful lot of training to become a master of the ninja arts. But Zombie City is cruel. It cares not for your focus, your determination or your training; death is just part of the job.
Don’t worry, you’ll recover those supplies and become a ninja master one day. Before that happens though, you’ll probably earn this achievement!
Gimme Gimme: open 50 Resource Caches
A good ninja is a well-supplied ninja! You need all the tools you can get to face the endless horde and rebuild the city. Luckily there are loads of resource caches around the city, stuffed to bursting with wood, cloth, metal and that mysterious magical powder.
Find as many of these caches as you can and become the most well-stocked ninja in Zombie City history! Open fifty to earn this achievement.
Treasure Hunter: find 250 resources
It’s not just resource caches that house those all-important resources. The evacuation of Zombie City was wild and frantic. Citizens took what they could, but they couldn’t take everything. So now there are piles of potentially useful items just lying around, waiting for you to find them.
I mean, it’s not like the zombies can use them. Grab a whopping 250 resources to earn the Treasure Hunter achievement.
Ninja Sense: find all seven ninja lookout points
Legends tell the tale of seven legendary ninjas, masters of their craft, blessed with the strength and skills of the sacred animals. They watched over the city, keeping the peace and protecting its people from all the dangers of the world beyond their walls.
Until one day, the seven disappeared. And a wave of death without end consumed the city and all who dwelled within it. Who knows if this tale is true. But if these seven lookout points still exist, they might have some useful tools to help against the undead scourge. Find them all!
A Friend in Me: rescue all the Runners
You’re not alone here in Zombie City, and I don’t just mean the thousands of zombies scratching at the walls. As well as lucky survivors and helpful shop keepers, Zombie City is home to Sensei’s other students: Wambo, Roboninja, Madman and Speedy!
He sent them out on missions just like you, in the hopes of finding more resources and survivors in this zombie wasteland. But let’s be honest. They just aren’t as good as you are and often get themselves stuck in sticky situations. Best lend them a hand, in times like this, ninjas need to stick together. Find each of the named Runners for this achievement.
Flying Ninja, Soaring Dragon: escape the map
It’s always good to have the high ground in battle situations; it gives you a better view of the combat area so you can plan tactics, enemies have a harder time reaching you and generally, you’re just safer from attack.
However, this might be taking things a little too far… Get to a height of 255 blocks to earn this achievement. The Dragon Cloud will help you get there!
