Entity army

 

Hi Noxcrew community!

It’s been a very entity heavy week this week, with lots of updates on animations and textures for both Mega Moustache Tales and Codename: Cow.

MMT continues to inch closer to completion, with the aforementioned entities and animations getting added to the map and placed throughout the world by our brilliant builders. We’ve even discovered a new little activity completely by accident! It’s how things occasionally come about in Noxcrew. One of the mechanics (Avondale in this case) will be messing around with some of the behaviours and voila! We have something we didn’t think was possible in Minecraft! All these additions have delayed testing a little bit, but we’re still on track and looking forward to seeing how everything runs!

Codename: Cow’s quests and activities continue to be prodded, poked and improved by the brilliant Miluteen to bring them up to a testable standard. We have a lot of fun testing out some of the behaviours, making sure that certain features were working properly and getting ready for the wave of testing that's about to crash down on it! 

In preparation for our next big project (Still no news on what that's going to be) there have been some quality of life updates on the server side of things, with Mewulf updating our java build servers, both our projects and MCC ones, to make everything all shiny and new. He’s also linked them all together so we can communicate between the projects and have an easy way for the builders to ask each other for help between the two (isn’t he clever?!) It’s always nice to have systems to make our lives easier! 

Finally we ran a session of testing on MCC where our lovely community testers got their hands on our newest game for the first time. It sounds like it was a solid test, with lots of bugs found (which we love to see) and the game was relatively well received. There were a few issues found with it, a lot of tweaks need to be made to get it up to standard, but that's why we have these tests. To make sure that these games are functional and (more importantly) fun before everyone gets to see it! Hopefully with another week to mess around with it, we can make this new game the best one yet!
