Out the door

Hi Noxcrew community!

It's one of those weeks where everything just seems to come together and it's absolutely lovely!

Mega Moustache Tales is in its testing phase with the hopes that it'll be out the door by the beginning of next week, if not today! That'll of course depend on the over 100 entities we have in the map behaving properly and not deciding to act out. (Be just our luck if they all decided to organise a prison break) Everyone's focused on getting this done and dusted so hopefully it'll be out of our hair on time!

While MMT is getting pushed out of the door, the team are also looking rather pointedly at Codename: Cow in the hopes that it will follow it's colleague on its way (ok might have pushed that metaphor a bit too far there).

All of the map's main quests are finally complete with just a bit of polishing needed to make them spic and span! As such, the mechanics team have moved on to stitching together the side quests, getting things to work and generally making the world a richer place to explore!

The builders have also been let loose on it, touching up areas, fixing things that the mechanics team broke while setting stuff up (those boys can be so destructive!) and ensuring that quest areas are fit for purpose. One of the builders even began organising an elaborate design for one of the sneakier quests, but had to reign it in as it was perhaps a little too elaborate. Everyone came to a compromise so it all worked out in the end!

At this rate we're hoping to get testing underway sometime next week and maybe (if we're lucky) ship it as well!

As to what we’re working on next, we had a very interesting meeting concerning that in the week and it looks like we’re going for a rather interesting project provisionally codenamed Nice Zoomy Cats (yes I do come up with fantastic codenames thanks for noticing!)

There's still some discussions being had about how we're going to approach this one, it's got the potential to be a huge scale map (going completely against what we're trying to do this year) but we've got a few more weeks before it all starts so we’re not too worried.

Finally MC Championship had a series of tests this week in preparation for MCC 3 this Saturday! Thanks to our lovely testers, we were able to pick out a wide range of bugs, especially with our newest game (I can't wait to see it in action!), as well as with the resource pack. We’ve had a good amount of time to tackle them and get everything nice and smooth before the event starts (hopefully, you never can tell what's gonna happen on the night).

I hope you'll all join us tomorrow 8pm over on the Noxcrew Twitch channel or any of the contestants’ streams for another night of MCC excitement! Hopefully Sparklez doesn’t break something this time!

Until then I'll see you next time!
