The world of Dragon Skies was once a huge landmass drifting serenely through the heavens until the Meteor struck.

The land cracked and created a sprawling kingdom of floating islands. Torn apart by war and dark magic, the realm is now ruled by the nefarious Necromancer and his diabolical minions. But the fair folk of the land wait for a hero of legend; the one that will reawaken the power of the dragons, claim the Crystals of Power and free the lands from this terrible evil.

Could that hero be you, fair player? Awaken your dragon, gather materials and build up your power and maybe you can finally restore this land to peace! With this handy guide you’ll find out where to go, what enemies you’ll face, and what materials you can find on each island. If anyone can become our hero, it’ll be you!

Furen Village

Mobs: Furen, Hen, Yak, Ram

Important Material: Food, Stone

Artifact: Meteor Shard

The first island you’ll visit in the Sky Islands, the Furen have created a quiet haven amidst the chaos. Focused on farming and trading, this peaceful ideal is a perfect launchpad for your adventure! Gather all the resource they offer while you’re here, especially their delicious meals. You’re going to need them.

Dragon Mountain

Mobs: Dragon

Important Material: Dragon food

Artifact: N/A

This long-abandoned mountain was once home to the majestic dragons whose power and might brought the islands to war. Now it sits, waiting for a hero to awaken the dragons once more and restore peace to this fractured land.

Infested Mines

Mobs: Scorpion, Leap Spider, Spiderling, Slime

Important Material: Iron, Coal

Artifact: N/A

Once the heart of iron production in the realm, the mines were abandoned and became infested with the dark minions of the Necromancer. Now they swarm with scorpions, spiders and slimes, all ready to devour any unsuspecting adventurer.

Be especially careful of the spiders’ giant nest down in the heart of the mines; their webs are so strong that even a dragon might struggle to break free.

Haunted Forest

Mobs: Goop, Horn Beetle, Hen, Skeleton Warriors, Green Mushrooms

Important Material: Wood, mushrooms, pumpkins, berry bushes

Artifact: Mask of Lost Spirits

Dark and mysterious, even before the Necromancer’s coming, the Haunted Forest was a place many feared to tread, warned off by tales of spirits and ghouls snatching away children who failed to stick to the path.

Under the Necromancer’s darkness, those stories became frighteningly real, with the peaceful dead sleeping in their tomb beneath the earth, rising to stalk the hidden nooks and crannies of the undergrowth. The creatures of the forest have also grown large and wild, relentlessly stalking all who walked beneath the shadowed leaves.

Sunken Ruins

Mobs: Floater, Wood Forg, Skeleton Warrior, Yak, Swinging Blade, Spike Wall, Fire Trap

Important Material: Stone, melon

Artifact: Crystal of Power, Ancient Skull

Floating on the edges of the realm sits the remnants of a lost and ancient civilisation. Not much is known of the civilisation of O'tep, save that they must have lived in small villages and farms of wood and corn, as very little remains besides the stone temple that stands at the heart of the island.

Many believe it to have been the seat of power of the O'tep leaders, or at least stored something very precious to their people, for the Crystal of Power now resides at the very top, guarded by deadly traps that have stood the test of time. Whatever this land once was, it's now flooded and overrun by amphibious nightmares and undead revenants.

Fin-Ghi Lake

Mobs: Fin-Ghi, Hen

Important Material: Fish, kelp

Artifact: N/A

The serene home of the Fin-Ghi people, these gentle fish people once live in tribes that warred with the humans of the broken isles. But as time went on, there came a more peaceful arrangement and the Fin-Ghi joined together and became traders of goods with the other races of the isles.

Tree of Settis

Mobs: Horn Beetle, Wood Forg, Swinging Blade, Spike Pit, Arrow Trap, Spike Wall

Important Material: Bamboo, emerald

Artifact: Crystal of Power, Royal Brooch

There are many stories about the Great Tree that grows and snakes across this isle. Some say that the island was once the ancestral home of the serpent race before they were cast out by the great snake Settis for selfishly hoarding and waring over the Great Tree, warping them into hideous monstrosities and cursing them to never set scales on their birthland again.

Others say that the tree was a normal seedling like any other, yet through the gentle care of the tree’s guardians it grew unnaturally large, nurtured by the people’s affections. They say that their spirits live on in the branches and buildings, still helping the tree grow strong.

Regardless of the tales, the island is now home to all manner of beasts and traps guarding the Crystal of Power sheltering amongst its leaves

Furen Barrow

Mobs: Furen, Yak, Ram

Important material: Food, anvil

Artifact: N/A

A safe haven amongst the wild and treacherous isles, these brave and adventurous Furen have built a quiet sanctuary, full of the comforts of home. Here you may rest in peace, safe from the monsters lurking in the inner islands

Redstone Mines

Mobs: Gloop

Important Material: Gold, redstone, iron, coal

Artifact: Crystal of Power

The technological powerhouse of the realm, the Redstone Mines provided power to the entire kingdom until the meteor struck.

Now, with the workers gone, the machines lie idle and the tracks that lead to the very top of the mines are unpowered. To get to the Crystal of Power at the top of the island, the mines must be awoken once more and cleared of the dark magic that festers within.

Coral Caves

Mobs: Floaters, Serpent Archers, Water Forg, Salmon, Spike pits, Hot Vents

Important Material: Fish, coral, coal, iron, sand

Artifact: Crystal of Power,  Poison of Settis

The oceans that once surrounded the floating isles evaporated in the fiery explosion caused by the meteor, reducing them to little more than lakes. As a result, areas that once thrived underwater were exposed to the surface world and overrun by fiends and monsters.

Such as it was with the Coral Caves. Once a beautiful underwater labyrinth, now home to serpents and twisted abominations. At its centre sits a long wrecked ship, storing another Crystal of Power, a greater prize than any treasure it held before.

Frozen Waterfalls

Mobs: Frost Troll, Cod

Important Material: Diamond, ice, packed ice, snow, sand

Artifact: N/A

The home of the Frost Trolls, an old tribe who warred with their ancient rivals, the Fire Trolls, until they were united by Umyr and the Hammer of the Giant’s Forge.

Then the meteor struck and the trolls descended into conflict. Now only one remains, driven mad by the Necromancer’s dark magic, preciously guarding his frozen homeland against all trespassers.

Isle of Mushrooms

Mobs: Ex-wizard Cornellius III, Fungus

Important Material: Mushrooms, gravel, diamond

Artifact: N/A

Rumoured to be born of the insane experimentations of the Wizards or the Wizards tower, this realm is now infested with fungal monstrosities, even more victims of the Wizard’s wild magic.

It’s also home to the craziest wizard of them all, Ex-Wizard Cornellius III who eventually turned himself into a mushroom creature and now rules over the other fungal people with insane ferocity.

Crystal Caverns

Mob: Shard Bug, Gloop, Bee, Gawling, Purple Mushrooms, Blue Mushroom

Important Material: Diamond, emerald

Artifact: N/A

Like the snow and ice that covers them, the Crystal Caverns are both beautiful and deadly. While the materials within the caverns are precious and powerful, the creatures that call the caverns home can slay any who dare trespass without thought.

Amongst the glittering crystals and cool, still water, bugs shielded in crystal armour go about their work alongside twisted perversions of nature and magic.

Fin-Ghi Falls

Mobs: Fin-Ghi

Important Material: Fish, kelp

Artifact: N/A

One of the tribal homes of the Fin-Ghi, the soothing flow of the waterfall over the rocks of Fin-Ghi Falls, makes this an island of peace and serenity in a sea of monsters and chaos. If you don’t mind a little bit of damp, this is a good place to rest, recover and trade for much-needed materials as you continue on your quest.

Enchanted Forest

Mobs: Serpent Archer, Fire Horn Beetle, Gloop, Bee, Hen, Yellow Mushroom, Wizard’s Box

Important Material: Wood

Artifact: Idol of Hope

There is a single song of the Enchanted Forest, sang to children before sleep takes them:

Little children come out to play
The moon is shining as bright as day
Close your eyes and cross the pass
The sleepers walk the forest grass

But this fairytale land, where sleepers walk on gossamer grass, has warped into a nightmare that none can wake from. Lurking in the growing shadows, serpents stalk this once-perfect Eden next to the twisted remains of the wizard’s meddling. Yet hope still lingers in the depths of the forest, for those brave enough to find it.

Wizard’s Tower

Mobs: Gloop, Slime, Yak, Zap Trap, Wizard Box

Important Material: Enchanting table, chorus flower, bookshelves

Artifact: Crystal of Power, Wizard's Hat

Home to the mighty and mysterious wizards, little is really known of them as they often kept to themselves, lest to trade their strange and wondrous creations with the rest of the world. What was known was that the wizards were notoriously careless, with their teaching, with each other and with magic in general. They were known to treat their workers, those that lived in the shadow of the Wizard’s Tower extremely poorly, so much so that apprenticeships rarely lasted very long, with either the student leaving or falling prey to some insane ‘trick’ where wizards would cast spells upon each other, leading to disastrous results.

There are rumours that the workers and apprentices were eventually transformed into the wretches that now roam the Isle of Mushroom, though none now live to tell the tale. The remnants of these tricks and traps remain within the tower, protecting the Crystal of Power that had taken root there, along with even more creatures born of their insane disregard for the laws of nature.

Meteor Scar

Mobs: Fire Horn Beetle, Fire Grinder

Important Material: Obsidian, ancient debris, soul sand, netherwart, glowstone

Artifact: N/A

The place where the Great Meteor struck the floating realm, shattering them into the sky islands, the Meteor Scar is an island torn between two extremes: the rural peace of the realm before the calamity and the molten fury that was unleashed by the meteor’s strike, setting burning demons loose upon the world.

It is a dangerous place now, where only the bravest dare tread. For the remnants of the meteor can be forged into mighty weapons and armour… if you can survive gathering it.

Mount Ignis

Mobs: Fire Forg, Fire Horn Bug, Fire Slime, Swinging Blade, Spike Pit, Arrow Trap

Important Material: Obsidian, magma block, gold

Artifact: Crystal of Power, Thunderstone

In the heart of a volcano stands an ancient palace, or maybe a temple, reaching down into the molten rock below, standing guard over the Crystal of Power. Is it protecting the Crystal from theft, or shielding the world from its seductive allure? Who can tell?

What we do know is that those who once resided in the lands of Mount Ignis are long gone, their homes and paths overrun by creatures drawn to the heat and ferocity of the volcano as well as creatures born of the volcano itself. Try to keep your cool or risk losing all to the eternal flames.

Giant’s Forge

Mobs: Serpent Bruser, Cactus Burster, Scorpion

Important Material: Iron, cactus, red sand, redstone

Artifact: Umyr's Seal

According to legend, Giant’s Forge was built by the fire troll Umyr on the ruins of a fallen mountain. The story goes that, tired of the endless war between her people and the frost trolls, Umyr befriended the frost troll Tark, and together they sought a weapon forged of black iron, the Hammer of Fire, in an attempt to unite the trolls. But then, tragedy struck. The mountain fell upon the two trolls, killing Tark and revealing there had never been a weapon there at all. Heartbroken, Umyr built the Giant’s Forge to make a new weapon, a hammer containing Tark’s indomitable spirit, to unite the trolls and bring peace.

But that was all many centuries ago. Now the forge lies abandoned in the baking sun, the iron that forged the great hammer lying forgotten, surrounded by insane serpents, horrific scorpions, and abominations of nature; the friendship and unity that build it is a distant memory.

Palace of Death

Mobs: Necromancer, Bone Dragon, Scorpion, Fire Horn Bug, Yellow Mushrooms, Green Mushrooms

Important Material: Blackstone, netherbrick

Artifact: Dragon Star

Once called the Palace of Splendor, it was home to a fair and noble queen who ruled the realm and its people with thought and kindness. Those days were lost when the dreaded Necromancer and his Bone Dragon attacked and took over, transforming the palace into a twisted parody of itself. The castle’s shining parapets that once inspired hope and safety are now a breeding ground for the dark, twisted things of the world, its fertile land turned to ash, the homes of the people that once tended the ground now dark foreboding tombs for the endless dead.

Reigning over all, haunting the gloomy corridors and inky shadows; a spectre that lives but cannot live; dead, but can never die. It is here that your journey will lead you, to confront the Necromancer and his deathless dragon and end their reign of terror. Are you now prepared?
