Top Minecraft picks for 2020
Throughout 2020, Minecraft Marketplace creators have continued to make fun, innovative and exciting Minecraft experiences to keep us all entertained!
With so many new releases every single week, it can be tricky to keep on top of everything the Marketplace has to offer. We know that you want to spend your hard earned Minecoins on the best possible content, and that’s why we’ve made this handy list of what we think are some of the best maps of the year.
Whether you’re buying maps for yourself, as a gift, or you’re just looking for inspiration for your next big project, here are our top picks from the Minecraft Marketplace in 2020!
Animal Ville
Explore, play, and build in Cyclone Designs’ adorable world of Animal Ville, a world full of animal friends living life to the fullest! With gorgeous animal NPCs, unique vehicles based on animal types (yes, that’s a cheese car in the trailer), and adorable pets to unlock and play with, this roleplay world offers a rich environment, characters, plots to build in, and a super cute and colourful style that stands alongside Animal Crossing and Stardew Valley as one of the cutest worlds ever!
What really makes this world feel alive are the small animations for each animal NPC, based on their species! From the spinning arms of the boxing kangaroo, to the graceful balancing of the giraffes, Cyclone have given delightful character and emotion to each NPC! Also, the hopping frog pet is just too cute! Animal Ville is currently rated 4.5 stars and costs 830 Minecoins.
Infinity Parkour
Do you like Parkour? Perhaps you think you’re an expert already and want to prove it, or maybe you’re terrible and want to get better? Either way, look no further than Jigarbov’s Infinity Parkour! It’s a fantastic map combining parkour mastery with a progression system that helps to keep pushing you forward to try and get better, and go that little bit further beyond, especially when jumps get frustrating! With loads of secrets to unlock and trophies to achieve, you’ll always feel like you’re jumping towards something, rather than just pointlessly falling over and over to your inevitable doom.
You can scale the difficulty of the parkour course however you want, ranging from not even trying, to courses so difficult it would make MCC’s parkour expert EpicLandlord proud… Well, at least he can’t blow this map up! We also give Infinity Parkour the award for just looking so cool and hyper futuristic; it's like jumping through the time vortex in Doctor Who! Infinity Parkour is currently rated at 4.5 stars and costs 830 Minecoins.
Tiki Island
An expansive adventure filled with cute and colourful allies, dangerous traps and temples and exciting and original enemies and boss monsters, Oreville Studios have created an absorbing world that's just begging to be explored, either alone or with friends! Explore the world and save the islanders from the malevolent presence brewing at the heart of the volcano!
A particular highlight are the incredible fully voiced and acted cutscenes with friendly NPCs which, in the lead up to massive boss fights, sometimes put us in mind of full on MMO raids! Tiki Island is a fantastically complete experience that you have to try out for yourself. Tiki Island is currently rated at 4.2 stars and costs 1340 Minecoins.
World of Cars
Back in June, we at Noxcrew released our biggest map to date, World of Cars! Filled with wait for it… cars, World of Cars is an expansive world with five unique states to explore, all with their own style and personality. Each state has their own multi-level quest to complete to unlock a special exotic car as well as a secret prize for completing them all!
From snow mobiles, to motorbikes, to the fastest sports cars, as well as helicopters and airplanes, World of Cars is filled with over 40 fun and drivable vehicles for you to use to explore the world and find all its hidden secrets, like state tokens and all the hidden Noxcrew members chilling out in their own dream homes! World of Cars is currently rated at 4.5 stars and costs 1340 Minecoins.
PAC-MAN
The classic 1980s arcade game came to Minecraft this year, with the fantastic Gamemode One having the honour of releasing the project under their own name. If you’re unfamiliar, the classic game saw you play as a yellow ball, collecting pellets in a nightmare maze being chased by four ghosts: Inky, Blinky, Pinky and Clyde. Well, those childhood memories are being brought to a whole new generation with this fantastic reimagining of the original which puts you right in the middle of that iconic maze being chased by huge ghosts including a new ghostly pal, Creepy, who explodes… Lovely!
With ten different mazes and the ability to build your own, you’ll need every advantage to defeat this timeless classic and post the highest of high scores! Thankfully, unlike in the original, PAC-MAN isn’t alone in this technicolour labyrinth. With new tools like a lightning bolt or TnT to destroy walls, you can beat Creepy and the other ghosts at their own game! And if that wasn’t enough, there’s even a whole world to explore beyond the haunted neon walls of the maze. A place for Pac-Man to relax, unwind and spend quality time with Ms. Pac-Man and Pac-Man Jr. PAC-MAN is currently rated at 4.6 stars and cost 1340 Minecoins.

Using inventive and satisfying towers to funnel, delay and ultimately defeat the horde, Fruit Zoo is a game of tactics and strategy, discovering the best place to put certain obstacles, like the ingenious ice cream catapult or the run-saving Tesla coil, to reduce the rampaging root veg to mulch!
As the fruit gets stronger and more creative with their own tricks and traps, you can upgrade your weapons to combat them, all while learning real world facts about fruit and veg! Who says learning can’t be fun… Though maybe not when there’s a giant pumpkin bearing down on you. Have fun! I mean, it’s not often that you come across an undead circus master riding an elephant, or a zombie president surrounded by their security guards in an apocalyptic white house. Do you think you can survive and thrive in this ooey gooey world of zombie puke and slime? ZOMBIES cost 1690 Minecoins and is currently rated 4.5 stare.
