One Block - Player Guide
Need help with your One Block Minecraft adventure? You’re in the right place! We’ve put together some quick tips to help you block out your path to becoming the ultimate One Block Champion!
Getting Started
Begin your adventure by loading the One Block map in Minecraft: Bedrock Edition.
Upon spawning, you'll find yourself standing on a single block surrounded by the void. Break the block beneath you to reveal the first island and kickstart your journey!
How does One Block work?
Mining & Money
Every time you mine a block, you earn money – a reward for all your hard work! You can see how much money you have on a special menu. You can spend it to unlock new island or at traders to buy awesome things like gadgets, minions, or epic weapons.
Remember, every block you mine also counts towards unlocking new upgrades for your islands, so keep mining!
Unlocking Islands
As you explore, you’ll spot floating locks. When you touch one of these floating locks, it's like finding a key to unlock a new adventure!
A box pops up on your screen, and will ask you if you want to spend some of your hard earned money to unlock a new island. If you say yes, the lock will disappear, and a new island will appear nearby!
Preview windows
Each island has a little floating question mark that's like a sneak peek window!
Tap it and it shows you all the cool blocks you can get from that island. For example, if you can get two Dirt blocks from one mine, it shows two little dirt block pictures.
As you upgrade your islands, the window updates to show you even more cool stuff you can get, from new blocks to important resources like food and crafting components. It might even spawn a mob to join you on your adventure!
Upgrading Islands
Reach One-Block milestones by mining a bunch of blocks to unlock an Island Upgrade.
Look for the floating "Upgrade Arrow" entity in prominent areas of the islands to activate the upgrade once you’ve unlocked it.
Keep in mind that each island can only be upgraded twice, but if you unlock another upgrade, you can use it on the next island you unlock.
Classes
In One Block, each island is connected to a class. Classes are special roles that let you play One Block in different ways!
You can pick from Ranger, Warrior, or Mage or combine classes and become the most powerful fighter in One Block!
Ranger Class
Path - Central
Armour - Leather
Main Weapon - Bows
If you like shooting from far away, picking down your foes with careful skill and precision then the Ranger is the path for you.
No need to charge in head first, distract the enemy with some simple traps and you’re free to strike!
Warrior Class
Path - Left
Armour - Iron
Main Weapon - Swords and Glaves etc
Follow the path of the warrior and use your strength to take down anyone or anything that stands in your way. No fancy tricks or flashy light shows; all your power is focused on your goal - to be the best!
Mage Class
Path - Right
Armour - Gold
Main Weapon - Spellbooks and Potions
Who needs weapons when you can follow the path of the mage and command the very elements to do your bidding?
Use the power of the arcane to summon fireballs and ice storms from the sky, call minions to your side and take down any and all foes in your way.
Gadgets
On each island, there are traders where you can spend your hard-earned money and buy some gadgets. Here's a list of the cool gadgets you can find in One Block
Utility
Book of Time
Location - Sea Temple
Control the flow of time at your will. Change the time from night to day and back again with a turn of the page!
Book of Weather
Location - Sea Temple
The weather is yours to command! Banish the rain or summon the storm as you please!
Flying Bow
Location - Savannah
Shoot an arrow and ride it to wherever it lands – just be careful not to miss, or it's game over!
Teleportation Stones
Location - Blazing Desert
A stone that can be thrown and will teleport the user where it lands. Can only be used 3 times
Consumables
Spell Scroll of Fireball or Hailstorm
Location - Mesa
These single-use scrolls summon the power of the elements to launch a scorching fireball at a spot of your choice or send a rain of razor-sharp icicles down upon your enemies, slowing them down as well as cutting them to ribbons!
Scroll of Doom Fish
Location - Fiery Wastes
Summon a fish of doom to deliver a devastating slap to your enemies.
Golden Cookie
Munch on this tasty treat to boost the amount of currency you earn as you mine for a short time.
Magic Mudball
Location - Swamp
Toss this Mudball to knock enemies away from you, perfect for taking out big enemies and slinging mud.
Mirror Shield
Location - Steep Hills
Reflect damage back at your attackers for a limited time with this handy shield.
Weapons
Thunder, Ice and Fire Bows
Location - High Mountains, Arctic Cliffs, Jungle
Shoot lightning, ice, and fire arrows to destroy your enemies!
Shockwave Harp
Location - Lush Cave
Strum your way to victory with this musical instrument that sends out shockwaves that knock back your enemies.
Spike Shield
Location - Sunny Plains
Wield this shield to knock back enemies with a powerful spike attack.
Magic Sword
Location - Deep Forest
Sweep away all in your path as you cut a devastating arc with this magical blade
Magic Halberd
Location - Deep Forest
Charge forward with magically enhanced speed and storm through any obstacle that gets in your way
Book of Fireball or Hailstorm
Location - Fiery Wastes
Unlike their scroll counterparts, these books can be used infinitely to summon the power of the elements to launch scorching fireballs or a rains of razor-sharp icicles down upon your enemies to your heart’s content
Entities
Golem Minions
Location - Mystic Cloud Realm
Summon a loyal defender to protect you from enemies! Choose from the Golem Guards or the Golem Turrets! Tamed and controlled by the Taming and Control Rod
Floating Chest
Location - Steep Hills, Lush Cave, Swamp, Sea Temple
Have a chest that follows you around, ready to store your loot. Tamed and controlled by the Taming and Control Rod
Water Sprinkler
Location - Steep Hills, Lush Cave, Swamp
Keep your crops hydrated, what else would it do?
Challenges
Everything feeling a little too easy? Want a challenge while playing One Block?
Then choose one of our three challenges or make your own adventure!
Choose the “Only Forward” challenge!
No doubling back! No side bridging! We must go only forward!
Defeat one of the end bosses, but only unlock islands going forward.
You should unlock no more than 4 islands before reaching a boss island.
Choose the “Class Path” challenge!
Defeat one of the end bosses, but unlock islands of only 1 class type.
Choose the “No Gadgets” challenge
Defeat one of the end bosses, but unlock islands of only 1 class type.
Defeat one of the end bosses, but without buying or using any gadgets from vendors. Normal minecraft items do not count towards this challenge, for example the Enchanting Table.
