Countdown to Sunday
Hi Noxcrew community!
I hope you’re all excited for the MC Championship ‘cause we sure are!
The MCC boys have been spending a lot of time this week cleaning up areas, building beautiful new hubs, sorting out redstone and generally making things ready for Sunday’s extravaganza!
A huge thank you must go to our lovely ambassadors and excellent community testers who joined us several times this week to help test and retest MCC making sure that everything isn’t lagging or crashing too hard. (Always an issue when doing a server based event) I’m told things got rather heated on Sunday between the top 2 teams. All I know is that the rematch that went down on Wednesday got properly fierce with a huge race for 2nd and 3rd as well as a big 3 way showdown between the bottom teams to see who would come last! (I’m very happy to say that my team pulled it out of the bag and we ended up ranking 8th!)
Keep an eye out later today in the Noxcrew Discord as we’ll be running one final test before the big day and we may need some more people to lend a hand! (Noxite has set up a form for you to fill in if you want to get involved, you’ll even get a shiny new rank!)
Also join us this Sunday for the main event over on Twitch.tv/TheNoxcrew at 8pm where we’ll be hosting a live admin stream throughout the night! Or watch the show on any of the other team’s stream and support them in their quest for MC glory. Whoever you decide to watch I’m sure it’s going to be a fantastic evening of Minecraft madness!
In other news, as mentioned last week, the rest of the team have been working on a secret little project behind the scenes for an awful long time now. It’s been a real labour of love, so I’m very pleased to say that this week has seen the team add the final finishing touches and ensure everything looks and feels exactly how we want them to. This means that it’ll be reaching you guys very very soon! This project has been in development for so long that I just can’t wait for you guys to see all the amazing work that everyone’s put into it! Stay tuned for more details as we can reveal them (OOOooOOoo mysterious)
Finally a bit of an update on the state of DvD and boy does it have some cobwebs. Things are running a little less optimally than usual but we’re in early days of getting it back on track so that’s to be expected. Despite this we’re still making great headway with the mechanics and there are some delightful little animation sounds being added that are really bringing the world to life! Hopefully, with things going the way they are, we can get DvD to you guys by the beginning of next year!
And that’s your lot! There’s a lot of exciting things coming up and a lot to do before December rolls around and we get into the holiday spirit, so we’ll get to the grindstone and see you on Sunday for MCC!
