MC Championship announced!

Hi Noxcrew community!

Bet you weren’t expecting that!

If you haven’t seen already, we’re excited to announce our long-awaited return to Java with the release of the MC Championship! (Or MCC for short)

A brand new live event, MCC will see ten teams of four go head to head in a series of mini-games designed to push competitors’ Minecraft skills to the limit! Parkour, survival, combat, even the bonds of teamwork and friendship will be tested in this high octane event! At the end of it all, the top 2 teams will go head to head in the final showdown to decide who is the ultimate MC Champion and walk the illustrious Walk of Fame!

We’re all very excited to be heading back to the java community and developing something akin to the Gameshow, an exciting series of mini-games that everyone can enjoy. For the longest time, we’ve missed creating like we used to, going off the chain and making something really out there for everyone to enjoy. We just felt like it was time to get back to our roots and create something for the community that got us to where we are today. Think of MCC as our love letter to you guys and all the support you’ve given us over the last 8 years. (We’re even planning on hosting some Noxcrew community games sometime in the future but no news on that just yet)

We’ll be running the very first show on Sunday 17th of November at 8pm GMT with the roster soon to be announced, so keep an eye out over at the MCC Twitter page for more updates as we get them! Thanks to DangThatsaLongName and Cupquake for helping us get this thing off the ground!

MCC’s not the only thing we’ve been keeping quiet about. While a small part of Noxcrew have been pulling together to bring MCC to life (yes we can work on 2 projects at once!) the rest of the team have been squirrelling away, working on a brand new map completely in secret! It’s coming out very soon so keep your eyes peeled. I think you’re all going to be pleasantly surprised at what we’ve been up to.

With all our little secrets finally seeing the light of day, the team can get back to focusing on some of the projects that got left behind in our push to get this out to you all, namely DestructoBot vs Dinosaurs (I bet you thought we were testing that last month?

The team are back on the scene with Stu and Miluteen are casting their expert eyes over all of the mechanics to make sure we haven’t missed an opportunity to add another animation and that the dinosaurs didn’t run off and cause mischief. No word on when DvD will be ready to rise from the dead but things are getting back on track after a good long while.

And that’s your lot. It’s been a crazy couple of months trying to keep things a secret but we’re so glad things are finally making their way out to you all! I hope you’re excited, we honestly can’t wait for you to see what’s in store!

Until then, have a great week!
