Get Minecraft Windows 10 edition for free

Everyone's raving about the Minecraft marketplace and all you have is Java... What a drag! Only, hang on, what's that I hear? You can get Windows 10 edition for free?! As long as you have a device that's using Windows 10 and you purchased a copy of Minecraft Java Edition before October 19th 2018, you're good to go.

Head over to Mojang.com and login to your account. This isn't the same as your Minecraft account so if you don't have one yet, you will need to make one. The website will help you to link up the two accounts and you'll be sorted.

So, once you're logged in you'll be able to see your account page with your Minecraft username. Right below that, you'll see something that looks like this:
