The Owl Guide Spawn Egg
The first time you spawn into a world with the Owl Add-On loaded, you’ll have a tablet that summons the Owl Guide to start you on your journey.
It’s your very own player guide inside Minecraft!
The Owl Guide
The Owl Guide is, unsurprisingly, your guide to The Owl Add-On, sharing all her wisdom with you.
You can summon her using the Owl Guide Spawn Egg, and she’ll give you helpful information on how to start finding, breeding, and equipping Owls, as well as give you a short tutorial on how to create the equipment your Owls need to thrive!
When you’re ready to move on and start your adventure, just talk to her, and she’ll pack up into a handy item in your inventory. This allows you to spawn her again if you need her help!
Finding Owls
To tame an Owl, you first need to find one!
There are 9 different Owl breeds, but only 3 of them can be found in the wild. Visit warm, cold or temperate biomes to discover these Owls.
Taming Owls
Taming an Owl is simple, just interact with an Owl while holding Raw Rabbit, as if you were taming a Wolf with bones. After a couple of tries, you’ll see hearts appear, and you’ll have successfully tamed your Owl!
Once tamed, your Owl can be commanded to follow you around or remain in place by right-clicking (Interacting) on them. You can also give them equipment to wear!
Breeding Owls
Once you have two tamed Owls, you can breed them to create new types of owls.
To do this, feed both Owls Raw Rabbit, and they’ll come together to make an adorable Baby Owl!
Breeding the same rarity of Owls can create an even rarer owl, leading all the way up to the most powerful Owl of all, the Elder Owl.
When Owls breed, they drop some of their feathers, which can be used to create powerful equipment for your owls to wear!
Feather Types
There are 3 types of Feathers to collect, all of which are needed to create equipment for your Owls.
Owl Feather - Dropped when Scops, Barn or Snowy Owls breed
Colourful Feather - Dropped when Eagle, Tawny or Spectacled Owls breed
Mythic Feather - Dropped when Tiger, Angel or Azure Owls breed
The Owl Guide Book

So, you have your Owl and you have your Feathers. Now it's time to craft some equipment!
To find the recipes for this equipment, you’ll need the Owl Guide Book. Here, you can find recipes for glasses, hoods and hats for your Owl friends to wear and use.
Place the book on the ground and turn the pages by right-clicking (Interacting) on it to find the equipment you want to craft.
To pick it back up, just punch the book and it will return to its small book form.
Equipment and what they do
Your Owls can help you on your adventure in a number of useful ways, from attacking your enemies to creating useful items, all with the help of some equipment!
You can give your Owl some equipment to wear by interacting with the Owl, while holding the equipment in your hand. To remove it, shift interact with the Owl and the equipment will go back into your inventory.
