We released DvD!
Hi Noxcrew community!
I hope you’re all staying safe and indoors out there!
With nowhere to go and work to do, Noxcrew had been booming with lots of exciting nonsense going down!
If you didn’t see it, we released Destructobot vs Dinosaurs this week! We even got a cute little pixel destructobot in the store! (kinda hoped he’d blown up that damned dino next to him, but what can you do). It’s great to finally see it out in the world for you all to blow to kingdom come and it looks like you guys have really been enjoying it which is always a plus!
Speaking of releases, we got our lovely ambassadors together midweek to film the trailer for Mega Moustache Tales, which has battled its way through Minecraft’s rigorous testing system and has passed with flying colours! It’s now ready to be set loose with the tentative release date of the 14th of April! (look at us, releasing maps and stuff)!
Next, in what’s becoming a bit of a trend for the art team, the uber talented SkyeScribbles has been working on a new skin pack in her spare time and finally showed it to the rest of the team this week. As we’ve come to expect, it looks brilliant and I personally think you guys are gonna love it! No idea when it’s due to release, but when I know, you’ll know!
Codename: Cow continues to be stitched together, with particles and sounds getting added in and entities being polished up. We’re also (finally) within a fingertips reach of testing! We’ll still be trailing our new testing system with particular tasks being handed out depending on how much people have worked on the map, which seemed to work pretty well with MMT. We’re hoping that this makes testing super quick so we can send it off by the end of next week!
MCC has kicked off preparation for MCC4 with the next wave of community tests starting next week! Our first test is to see how things act now that we’re bringing MCC back to 1.14.4 after its brief stint in 1.15. Despite our rigorous testing, a lot of the Youtubers were struggling with stability issues in MCC3, so for the good of the event, we’ve decided to downgrade for the time being to a version that we know is stable (or at least was stable, hence the test to make sure)
If you want to take part in these tests (they’re a lot of fun!) make sure to sign up to become part of the testing team over at noxcrew.com/discord!
Finally, we’ve had a slight wrinkle in the path to the next project in the form of a second pitch! Cause we just can’t make things easy for ourselves)
Battling against Nice Zoomy Cats in its bid to be our next project is ‘Dastardly Drake!’ (The class codenames just keep coming!) It's a very different concept to NZC with an opportunity to try something a little outside of our wheelhouse, but we’re in 2 minds about it, because like NZC it could very easily become a huge project! There’s still a lot of discussions about what we’re going to do next but hopefully we’ll decide by next week so we can get started!
And that’s your lot!
Look after yourselves, stay safe and I’ll see you all next week!
