Voices in the trees
Hey Noxcrew community!
We’ve really been getting our heads down and cracking on this week, so there isn’t a whole lot I can talk about, but there are a few little updates I can share with you.
DvD, despite a few entity crashes, marches ever forward to completion, with some fantastic ambient noises being added, thanks to our new sound designer Oli, and some decisions finally being made on the voice acting situation.
For a while we were arguing whether we were going to have Banjo Kazooie style voices, but we’ve realised that it wouldn’t have really worked for the world we’ve created, so we’re back to full voice acting. After polishing up the script and a very informative read through, we’re ready to find the right people for the job and get this map one step closer out of the door!
In contrast, Codename Cow still has quite a way to go, with lots of building still to complete and some landscapes to clean up, but we are finally getting some entities into the world.
We had a very interesting test midweek, just to make sure things were going in the right direction, gameplay and entity wise. It did see Avon crash into a ravine, so there’s still a bit of fine tuning to be done, but overall we’re happy with the progress. Hopefully it won’t be too long before we can get it into Bedrock!
Finally, I can at last reveal that ‘InterestinglyFreakyWomen’ will be taking place in the Terra Swoop Force Universe. But when? And how? And where? I guess you’ll just have to wait and see!
Hopefully it won’t be too long a wait as we’ve gotten some feedback after the first testing phase of the map and the bits that got called out were pretty easy to fix! Provided they don’t find anything else wrong with it, ‘InterestinglyFreakyWomen’ will soon be out to enjoy!
If you want to get a feel for the map, or just want all the hype possible, check out Lauren’s sneaky snaps over on our Instagram including one of this very puzzled looking box (What’s in the box!?) or an ominous elevator ride over on our twitter. We’ve also got some more interesting teasers coming your way, so keep an eye out for those as well!
And that’s your lot. I hope you’re all as excited for ‘InterestinglyFreakyWomen!’ as we are! If I get any more info, or even a release date, I’ll be sure to get it to you asap!
Until then, have a great week!
