Learning about the history of IDC, Ivan de Gama’s decent into madness, and the truth about what’s really hiding in the depths of the facility isn’t easy. There are items, books, and strange audio logs to be found, but with an adventure happening around you, finding them all is not an easy task.

Items

Hiding around the world are items precious, or maybe just useful, to the characters of Monsters from the Ice or details the characteristics of the monsters lurking in the icy depths.

Each hidden item gives insight into the character’s personality or the monster’s most dangerous trait, like the Ice Tiger’s claw or Ivan’s lucky pencil.

Collecting them all rewards you with the Hoarder achievement. Carrying too much? Every item you collect can be found in the IDC archives.

 
 

Books

From research logs, to instructional pamphlets, to magazines about rollerblades, there is a wealth of literature hiding in the artic wastes just waiting to be read!

Through these hidden books you can discover tales to tell children on cold winter nights, what happened to Ivan de Gama, and “what it is to be cold” by the eminent philosopher Dr Wulf!

Collecting all of the hidden books rewards you with the Book Worm achievement. Carrying too much? Every book you collect can be found in the IDC archives.

 
 

Audio logs

IDC employees used audio logs to detail their work, and many of the strange goings on inside the IDC facility. Hear about the growing threats to both their research, and their lives and the realisation of what’s causing all this chaos.

You will also get to hear Dr. Wulf speak for the very first time… And he’s not happy about where he is right now.
