Wayne Manor

Co-ordinates: 610, 26, 750

Key features: Tutorial Zone

The ancestral home of the Wayne Family, Wayne Manor was once the most luxurious in all of Gotham City. It has stood, watching over the city, witnessing both the rise and fall of both Gotham and the illustrious family it housed.

Many years have passed since Wayne Manor's glory days under Thomas and Martha Wayne, and it appears to have fallen into disrepair and neglect under their son Bruce.

However, looks can be deceiving. Wayne Manor may look dishevelled and run down from the outside, but inside, it’s home to one of the most technically advanced facilities in the whole world - The Batcave.

Batcave

Co-ordinates: 645, 10, 777

Key Allies: Lucian Fox, Batdog, Batcow

The nerve centre of the Bat-Family’s fight against crime, the Batcave is full of technical marvels, exciting gadgets and protective suits. The Batcave also houses his most important tool, the Batcomputer, full of dossiers on his foes and the Super-Villains of Gotham to help Batman and his allies in their fight against crime. With the right materials, you can craft new tools and gadgets to defeat enemies and, with a bit of deduction, solve the Riddler's clues and recover some of the Bat-Family’s missing suits!

But the Batcave isn’t just some soulless cave dedicated to fighting crime. It's also full of mementos of Batman’s victories over some of his most dangerous foes, a garage for the beautiful Batmobile, and a home to his loyal animal companions: Ace the Bat-Hound and the Batcow.

It’s also where the portal that caused this mess is currently being housed. Defeat all the villains of Gotham to recover the missing obsidian pieces and save Alfred from the wicked clutches of The Joker

Gotham Police Department

Co-ordinates: 520, 3, 615

Key Allies: Commissioner Gordan

Led by the stern yet compassionate Commissioner Jim Gordan, the long-suffering police of Gotham City haven’t always seen eye to eye with Batman and the Bat-Family. However, after many adventures together, the GCPD now count them as allies against the Super-Villains who plague Gotham and its people.

All the villains you defeat will find their way to Gotham City Police Department, waiting to be transferred to Arkham Asylum. If you feel it will help your investigation into The Joker’s diabolical scheme, you can free the villains and fight them again. However, it would be a very irresponsible thing to do for the poor people of Gotham.

Monarch Theater

Co-ordinates: 569, 1, 622

Key features: Lore

The Monarch Theatre is the start of Bruce Wayne’s journey into becoming the Caped Crusader. While the story has twisted and changed over the years, moulded by each subsequent retelling, the beginning remains the same.

Following an evening out at the Monarch Theatre with his parents, Bruce Wayne’s mother and father, Martha and Thomas Wayne, were killed in a robbery gone wrong. The tragedy left Bruce an orphan in an unfeeling world and instilled in him a hatred of crime and the drive to pursue justice. Bruce travelled the world, training his body and his mind to become a symbol of fear for all criminals - Batman.

Who knows what would have become of Bruce Wayne and Gotham City had The Waynes not visited the Monarch Theatre that fateful night. All we know is without that one moment, Batman would never have existed.

Amusement Mile

Co-ordinates: 470, 0, 647

Batman Villain: Harley Quinn

Once a place of fun by the bay, an amusement park with fun for the whole family, Amusement Mile has now been taken over by Harley Quinn and her minions, turning the once joyful funfair into a nightmare!

Crawling with harlequin-themed enemies, she’s turned all the rides and games into deadly and dangerous traps. One wrong move could get you electrocuted, crushed, trampled, scaled, or overwhelmed by her carnival cronies. It doesn’t help that she’s teaming up with her longtime partner in crime, Poison Ivy, so everything is all overgrown with her grasping vines. But to take the duo down, you must brave her funhouse of horrors and reach the Botanical Gardens.

Botanical Gardens

Co-ordinates: 290, 17, 635

Batman Villain: Poison Ivy

The Botanical Gardens were once the leading facility of botanical study in Gotham City and home to the seasonal ‘Garden Walks’ organised by Martha Wayne to promote biodiversity and a love of nature in the citizens of Gotham. However, the gardens have been taken over by the dangerous and beautiful Poison Ivy, bent on overthrowing humanity and restoring the balance of nature to the planet.

Now teaming up with Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy and her minions have infested the Botanical Gardens, turning it into a haven of greenery and hazy hallucinatory gas, all to protect the Rooted Obsidian they stole from the portal.

If the minions under the dastardly duo's thrall weren’t enough, Ivy’s plants have grown into the Gardens walls themselves, lashing out at anyone foolish enough to invade their lair. If you can survive the gas, minions, and plants, and make your way to the heart of the Gardens, prepare to do battle against both Harley Quinn and Poison Ivy to reclaim the obsidian and send them back to jail where they belong!

Industrial District

Co-ordinates: 310, 0, 340

Batman Villain: Clayface and Firefly

Once the industrial heart of Gotham City, the Industrial District fell on hard times when the high-tech revolution caused most of its factories to become obsolete, causing many to close and leaving the citizens unemployed. Full of warehouses and abandoned industry, the area became a hive of criminal activity, building off the machinery.

Clayface and Firefly are the latest in a long line of Super-Villains to claim the district as their base of operations, combining Clayface’s ability to transmute and create clay with Firefly’s affinity with fire to build defences against the Gotham City Police Department and the Bat Family. They have developed a series of explosive weapons to level against the people of Gotham, including mechanical minecarts filled with explosives! All in their quest for revenge against those they feel wronged them and for financial gain.

Traverse the factory, dodging the pair’s loyal workers, giant machinery, fire pits, pools of lava, devilish puzzles and terrifying explosives, to get to the central warehouse where Clayface and Firefly are ready to take down Batman in a blaze of fire and mud.

The Iceberg Lounge

Co-ordinates: 522, 1, 260

Batman Villain: The Penguin

The go-to place for the rich and famous of Gotham City, The Fashion District is on the cutting edge of art, music, and(as the name suggests) fashion.

It's also home to the upper crust of the criminal world; crimelords and gang bosses who love to surround themselves with luxury often set up shop in the Fashion District. Crimelords like Oswald Chesterfield Cobblepot - known to the criminal world as The Penguin.

More of a schemer and a tactician than a brawler, The Penguin prefers to let others do his dirty work, throwing his army of goons and thugs against you to keep you away from his precious obsidian prize. Fight your way up the fancy Iceberg Lounge, defeat his three head-honchos, and you’ll come face to face with the man himself.

Because if the goons can’t get the job done, the boss will have to do it himself.

Ace Chemicals

Co-ordinates: 766, 1, 444

Batman Villain: Mr Freeze

Victor Fries’s tale is a sad story of loss, hope and desperation. Pushed to a life of crime after his beloved wife contracted a rare and deadly illness, Victor sought the funds to continue his research into finding a cure for her, slowly being warped by the very freeze ray he created to commit his crimes.

Now he’s taken over Ace Chemicals in the hopes of furthering this search using the Frosted Obsidian obtained after The Joker’s little stunt. Make your way through the chemical factory, taking on Freeze’s cryo cronies, avoid electrified water pits, dodging scalding heaters, flying up whirling fans, and evade vats of dangerous chemicals to Freeze’s frozen lab.

Turn up the heat on Freeze and reclaim the obsidian he stole!

Fun fact: Ace Chemicals is rumoured to be where The Joker became the man he is today when he fell into one of those vats… I’d be extra careful around those chemicals.

Wayne Tower

Co-ordinates: 480, 1, 470

Key features: Central Hub

The Wayne Family, for good or for ill, have always loomed large over Gotham City, helping the city grow financially, commercially, and technologically as well as leading many philanthropic causes to help the less fortunate of the city.

To many, there is no Gotham City without the Wayne Family.

Wayne Tower, the heart of Wayne Enterprises as well as Gotham City, is a testament to this. The Tower not only serves as an office for the company but the centre of a tramline stretching out across Gotham City, helping the people travel across the various districts.

Arkham

Co-ordinates: Through the Nether Portal once completed.

Batman Villain: The Joker

Created as a respite for those suffering mental maladies, Arkham Asylum now serves as a prison for the dangerous Super-Villains of Gotham, the most dangerous of them all being The Clown Prince of Crime: The Joker.

Somehow, in an experiment gone wrong, Arkham Asylum and The Joker have been transported to a deadly realm full of fire and lava, and they’ve taken Alfred, Batman’s loyal butler, with them!

To save Alfred and end this madness, you must brave this strange new realm, full of fire and The Joker’s corrupted minions, to reach your dear companion.

But The Joker is never one to make things easy. Even after all that hardship and peril, you’ll need to race against the clock to stop The Joker’s diabolical machinations, save Alfred from a grisly end, and defeat The Joker once and for all.
