No rest for the Noxcrew

Hey Noxcrew community!

There have been tears, there have been triumphs but at last, after 4 months of work (yes it really has been that long) we have finally shipped ‘InterestinglyFreakyWomen’ for testing!

It’s been a long time coming, with a whole host of bug fixing and alterations towards the end, but it was worth it to make ‘InterestinglyFreakyWomen’ as perfect as we could. Fingers crossed that all our hard work means it doesn’t spend too much time in Microsoft’s delightful grasp and we can get it out for you all to enjoy!

While we’re probably not going to do anything quite on that scale for a while (Give us about 6 weeks) we couldn’t just sit back and rest after completing such a big project, we had to jump straight into something else!

It’s been very patient with us, so we’ve gone back to Project: DvD and are working on getting that finished too! We did a full walkthrough of the map in the week, going over how we want stuff to run, and how sequences are going to play out and thankfully it was nearly finished when we left to work on ‘InterestinglyFreakyWomen!’

We just need to sort out the mechanics, sounds and voice acting (which has become quite the issue of contention) and are knuckling down to get that done as ASAP as possible (in Avon’s words) Let’s hope it doesn’t take too long so we can get it shipped off too!

While all that's going on, the build team have jumped back into Codename: Cow and have started work on building up the landscape with some beautiful environmentals like this lovely forest! The art team have also started working out the entities that will inhabit Codename: Cow’s massive world, with some beautiful concept art from Skyao. We’ll be finalising the designs and getting them built up soon, so keep an eye out for some peaks in the future.

Finally, I’m very happy to announce that we have another new addition to the Noxcrew family! (They just keep springing out of the woodwork!)

I’m happy to introduce our newest member: Oli Aka MrCompost! He’ll be joining us as a sound designer, helping Noxite create the weird and wonderful racket that make our maps come to life!

You might know Oli as the creator of Angry Pixels’ ‘The Betweenlands’ mod which adds a third dimension to the world of Minecraft, filled with strange plants and monstrous creatures! He’s even helping to keep it updated while he works with us, with a load of cool new stuff being added really soon! (How industrious!)

Welcome to the team Oli! Hope Noxite doesn’t annoy you too much (I’m joking… or am I?)

And that's your lot!

Hope you have a great week and I’ll see you all next time!
